Thank you for even checking this page out – we really appreciate it!

LibreTech Collective is proud of the work we do as a club, and are especially appreciative to Georgia Tech for providing an environment where students can thrive! We are also proud to NEVER ask for membership dues, we do the work because we love it – not because we expect anything out of it.

If you would like to help keep the LibreTech Collective mission going, or even give us a turbocharge, then please consider donating to LTC! We thank you again, and would like to inform you that you have two options to proceed – your donation will be to a 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit, meaning you can request a tax receipt for your gift:

Mailing A Check

  • 1. Make the check payable correctly
    • Make all gifts by check payable to: “Georgia Tech Foundation, Inc.” (this is the Institute‑wide standard for gifts to benefit Georgia Tech).
    • In the memo line, write the student organization name (e.g., “LibreTech Collective student organization”) and, if provided, the specific fund/gift number or “for student org foundation account”
  • 2. Prepare donor information
  • 3. Address and mail the check
    • Standard mailing address for gifts by check:
      • Georgia Tech Foundation, Inc.
      • 760 Spring Street, NW, Suite 400
      • Atlanta, GA 30308
    • Campus‑internal mail can use Mail Code 0182 to route checks payable to Georgia Tech Foundation to the Foundation office.
  • 4. Alternative: route via SOFO (if donor hands check to LTC)
    • If a donor physically gives a check to the student organization, the org can bring or mail checks to SOFO for deposit to the appropriate custodial or foundation account.
    • For Foundation account deposits, checks must be payable to Georgia Tech Foundation with the organization’s name in the memo line; they can be brought or mailed to either SOFO or the Foundation office listed above.

Online Giving (via Georgia Tech)

  • 1. Go to the Georgia Tech “Give Now” site
    • Visit the central giving site (Office of Development) and click “Give Online Today” / “Give Now” to open the online gift form.
  • 2. Select or search for the correct fund/designation
    • Use the designation search or “View all giving options” to find the specific fund name or area that corresponds to the student organization’s Georgia Tech Foundation account (this is what you’d register for LibreTech Collective).
    • If the org’s fund does not appear by name, donors can typically choose a related department/college fund and add special instructions in a comment box (e.g., “Please direct this gift to the LibreTech Collective student organization foundation account”). The org should confirm the correct procedure with Development in advance.
  • 3. Enter donor and payment information
    • Fill in donor contact information (name, address, email, phone) and enter the gift amount.
    • Choose payment method (credit/debit card, possibly other options provided on the form) and submit the gift.
  • 4. YOU MUST add comments to direct the gift to LTC
    • Where the form allows “special instructions,” “comments,” or “additional details,” specify:
      • “For LibreTech Collective student organization at Georgia Tech (student org Foundation account)” and any fund number (if you were given one).
    • This helps the Gift Accounting Office and Georgia Tech Foundation apply the gift to the correct student organization account.
  • 5. Receive confirmation and receipt
    • After submitting, the donor should receive an online confirmation and, later, an official acknowledgment for tax purposes from the Georgia Tech Foundation.

WE THANK YOU AGAIN – GO JACKETS!
